Objective monitoring of treatment response with client-friendly visuals

My veterinary practice focuses on acupuncture and medical manipulation. The TendiBoots are able to detect subtle asymmetries that can’t be detected with the naked eye. I use the TendiBoots to monitor my client’s horses’ gate patterns and response to therapy. They are easy to use and give a nice visual for the client. TendiBoots have been invaluable in my practice. Customer support is always prompt and professional when Ive contacted them.

From Tradition to Precision

We need tools to objectify our observations and to obtain measurable data. Every horse has its own pattern, its own normal functional baseline: knowing this baseline is essential.

With experience, we know that sometimes we are right, but sometimes we also make mistakes. The limit we must never cross is lameness. As long as the horse does not show lameness, I consider that my work is going in the right direction.

Our traditional professions too often rely on subjective practices, without scientific foundation, simply because “it has always been done this way.” Such inertia is not beneficial. Tools that bring objectivity, like Tendiboots, make our accumulated expertise more precise and more effective.

I appreciate Tendiboots because it is easy to use and simpler to integrate into my work than other systems on the market. The data it provides is valuable, and the constant improvements make the system increasingly suited to the real needs of equine health professionals.

Integrating objective data into clinical observations may seem complex, but animal medicine is complex by nature: there is no “beginner version.” In my specialty, equine podiatry, Tendiboots™ helps me manage this complexity.

Is it the perfect tool? Maybe not – but I don’t know of any perfect tool. What I do know is that Tendiboots has become a valuable ally in my toolbox to better understand and care for the horses under my responsibility. In my opinion, depriving oneself of such a tool and merely “looking with the naked eye,” thinking a small adjustment here and there is enough, is a limited – even dangerous – approach.

Fun stuff

Using our Ekico Tendiboots to help evaluate, record and track treatment progress with a lameness caused by an old collateral ligament injury— technology is pretty neat these days! The Tendiboots are also handy when blocking subtle lamenesses, being able to detect a change (or lack of) objectively after a regional block is performed. Fun stuff

A cool tool

Tendiboots is a very useful tool for lameness diagnostics. It detailed asymmetries horses may present with multiple parameters (stride length, weight distribution...) We use it to objectify gait improvement before/after nerve blocks, chiropractic & farriery.
